An experience on the other side

I had the dubious pleasure to be on the other side of the caring professions - as a client.  A dose of palpitations and arm pain required the use of the ambulance service on Cardigan Road, after I had run out of petrol on the way to the LGI to get the palpitations checked out.  Mark, the paramedic was great. ECG normal but a trip to LGI &E at 11.18 ensued.  Finally left after 3 hours 54 minutes (just inside the target) after two more normal ECGs, chest X-ray & troponin level. Blood pressure and D-dimer up though, but low risk for DVT or PE.  D-dimer probably linked to torn calf last year.  Time to cut down on the wine and curries. Lent has come early.
