First degree heart block

After my A&E episode, I'm currently left with a diagnosis of 1st degree heart block, and a raised D-dimer with no explanation (yet).  1st degree heart block is a benign condition, common in athletes!! No treatment or folllow up if no other underlying condition.  GP reluctantly referred me to a cardiologist.  My 10 year risk of a cardiac event is 9% (borderline). He kindly said if I lost some weight it would be low risk. My blood pressure is down to 125/90 with lifestyle changes.  An annual review is required, but I'll keep a careful watch on it.
I still think my D-dimer is related to my left calf that I injured a year ago, but a casual conversion with a orthopaedic surgeon thinks it is unlikely.  Lets see what  the cardiologist says.
